![]() | About JSA Photonics, Inc. JSA Photonics, Inc. was established in 1991 as a contract and consulting engineering firm for design, manufacturing and systems integration of industrial automation components and systems. One of the first prototype developments was the DigiRule, a digital measuring device. In 1995, the Company began the development of a 3-D non-contact dimensioning device and entered into a licensing agreement with the Industrial Technology Institute, In 1995, The Company secured a contract for the development and fabrication of test equipment used in the manufacture of precision laser optical alignment systems including precision mechanical fixtures, optical detection and alignment equipment and vacuum leak and backfill systems. In 1995, the Company entered into an agreement for the development and testing of the TechTimer Roadside Passenger Advisory System. A prototype of this device has been successfully developed and tested and is currently in full production. JSA has collaborated with Sandia National Laboratory and other organizations in the development of other high tech products including the development and manufacture of a GPS based commercial distancing system for golf courses. Dr. Joseph Accetta, President and CEO Dr. Accetta is a senior executive with 30 years of experience in new product development, engineering and management activities in optics, electronics and industrial automation spanning the military, industrial and national laboratory environments. Prior to founding JSA Photonics, he was Vice President of Engineering at Perceptron Inc., a leading manufacturer of 3-D machine-vision equipment for automotive and industrial applications. In this position he was instrumental in bringing several new industrial products relying on advanced optical, electronics and software design from R&D to full production. He has held management and engineering and research positions at a number of research and engineering institutions, including the Environmental Research Institute of Michigan, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Lockheed Missiles and Space Co. and USAF Phillips Laboratory.
